    Well, this Darkrai have obviously been the praise of many of TCG player in recent weeks. Of course I can see why! Being a fan of Dark Pkmn, this card is like a dream come true! Finally a Darkrai that doesn’t suck! Finally free retreat for Dark Types! Also, it’s a solid attacker! :D Happy is me.

    For me the regular art looks cooler than the full art.

      I don’t like many of the Full Arts better, especially when it comes to EX cards as the normal “breaking the box” artwork is WAY cooler! Not to mention the elements around the card’s border.

          I’ll agree for N and Victini but, FA Kyogre? That’s a close call as I love the teeth on the normal art–it makes Kyogre look so feral!

            Ah, yeah, personal preference, but the teeth don’t fit with my serene whale-like image of Kyogre. It does have more life in the normal one, but I like the composition and color scheme on the FA.

            That’s very true. Unlike most EX card pairs, Kyogre displays two different natures. One is, as you say, serene, while the other is Killer Whale in the Antarctic! lol

    It’s great that Darkrai EX actually met up to its expectations, when Darkrai Lv.X flopped way back then.

    This card is a beast. “Night Spear” makes it good, “Dark Cloak” makes it great, but Dark Patch being in the format makes Darkrai outstanding.
    Energy acceleration and free retreat for decks that can utilize it, all in one bulky Basic Pokémon – what more could you ask for?
    Darkrai will be great as long as it’s around, and only looks to get better if and when we get more playable Dark Pokémon.

      I’ve been having trouble with Dark Patch. Most decks run smaller amounts of energy, so I find it difficult to want to discard energy when I need to play it that turn. So then later when I draw into Dark Patches, I can’t use ‘em. Also, I often draw into Dark Patches in early game–what then?

        That’s one of the reasons Smeargle is so good in Darkrai decks. Getting to run through so many hands helps with a quick setup and makes Dark Patch usable. With your Junipers, your opponent’s Junipers, Junk Arm, Ultra Ball, and maybe even Sage’s Training, discarding energy isn’t too hard to do early in the game.
        Dark Patch also obviously shines in the late game, when it’s easy to find energy in the discard pile.

    I couldn’t help to notice that if you type “Darkrai EX” on 6p it links to the regular art but when you type “Darkrai DEX” it links to the FA version.
