{C} → Miraculous Comeback
Flip a number of coins equal to the number of Pokémon in play. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads. Then Team Rocket’s Meowth does 10 damage times the number of tails to itself.

This Pokémon is more active at night. It likes bright, shiny things and cannot resist taking them and adding them to its collection.

I assume Meowth is supposed to be falling, but I think its more fun to think he’s blasting off.
Adam Capriola
I think he’s being sucked into an intergalactic wormhole. :p
NicholasInzeo
looks like chocolate pokemon animal crackers huanting in his sleep.

This + old wording of Metal Energy

HOW , pray tell, is it a ‘comeback’ if Meowth is more likely to kill himself than he is his opponent?
Mantidactyle
It is a MIRACULOUS comeback, you’ll land 12 heads obviously

Apparently Kunihiko Yuyama is the chief director of the Pokemon anime, including most of the movies. I’ve known about this card for a long time but never the significance of the artist!

This was the only card pre-TRR (2004) to be “TEAM Rocket’s” instead of just “Rocket’s.”

Correction: the only Rocket’s card EVER to have “Team” in its name!
Ambassador
Just noticed the shapes surrounding him aren’t just random rocks, but weird renders – 3D meshes? – of Pokémon. Geodude, Charizard, and Golbat are fairly easy to pick out, but I’m stumped on the rest.

Oh, neat! I’m gonna go with, clockwise from the upper left corner:
Growlithe, Bulbasaur, Butterfree, Geodude, Charizard, Pikachu, Staryu, Jigglypuff, Lapras, and Golbat.
