They never allow prey to escape. Their jaws are so powerful, they can crush the body of an automobile.

I think this guy is too overlooked, sure he has flaw(being a stage 2 where basics reign supreme, high energy costs), but Bombast can be great late game, and that’s ignoring the damage boost from Dark Claw, and the fact that you can get energies quickly with Dark Patch.
coolestman22
If it’s so overlooked, why is it a 7.67/10?
Kang_Frast
Well, people on here might have given it a decent rating, but that doesn’t mean people still use it.
I’m just saying it has potential to be good.
coolestman22
11 trolls all vote the same card?
Unlikely.

I think his point is that it’s not seen in tournaments. Alone it can be very good! But when paired up against the current metagame of speedy basics, apparently it has been decided by the general public that it is not worth playing, and this is shown by the absence of this card in competitive play.
coolestman22
I don’t think so. I think if people vote it high, it’s a good card. There is a use for it, wherever it may be, and there are people trying to find that use.

I think the high rating shows that players agree that Krookodile *can* be a strong card and that, just maybe, they have *thought* about ways to run it. However, the current format just doesn’t have room for this (or does it….?).
coolestman22
Does 120+ late game. Good.

I feel it’s a shame that potentially powerful cards such as this lack serious competitive play since they are Stage 2. This lead me to create a new “Stage 2 Only” format in which no Pokemon can be used inside a deck unless in is part of a Stage 2 line AND that Stage 2 is also ran (so 1 copy of Eelektross would allow use of 4 Eelektrik). Of course, BTS and Rare Candy are now rampant. haha.

I believe a Dark Claw and Special Darkness Energy powered Dark Clamp can be very devastating in many scenarios, especially if your opponent doesn’t have a Switch. It can OHKO most Pokemon and 2HKO Ex’s, which will in turn power up it’s Bombast attack. A bit of a difficult card to play, but I think it has some potential.

I really like this card and it’s a tank to bring to League in an all Darkness deck. :)
coolestman22
I had to rate this A LOT to get it to 70%. Got matched up against Claydol GE, Gyarados SF, Victory Medal, Double Rainbow Energy, Roserade GL, cards like that.

How does this card look like as a 1 of tech in Darkrai Hydreigon? It could opt out better than Shaymin, and serves as a non-EX attacker for SIgilyph, and you don’t have to discard to attack with Hydreigon for similar damage output.
Mantidactyle
I wouldn’t play another stage 2 in this deck…
