Your Birthdate: ______________________________
feyblade
In modern times, this could be reprinted with a pokebody stating “Treat every day as if it were your birthday” and it wouldn’t be overpowered.
Dark Kira
This could be reprinted with that body and every number on it doubled, and it would still be easy to deal with.

They actually ended up printing a special card that facilitates exactly that – it doubles the HP and attack for any card printed between 1996 and 2000 (i.e. all of the “old back” cards for the JP edition of the game).

I wonder how many kids wrote “everyday” on the “your birthdate” line?

I’m happy were done with Dragons Exalted COTD’s.
Benjamin Poke Battler
Too bad kids wrote their name on most of these, I did have a chance to buy a unnamed one for 20 bucks but I went for a Charizard EX (Fire Red) for 40.

There was a guy selling a ton of these a couple years back for about 99 cents each, Mint, on eBay. That’s how I got mine.
Must’ve ran a league back in the day and still had a box of them lining around. In any event he single handedly made the the value of this card plummet for a long while lol.
It wasn’t till he sold out that they started to slowly go back up, but you can still score them for about 12 bucks today.

You still got any laying about?

This never occurred to me until I read a set of Japanese “house rules” permitting the use of this card – if you write the name of a Gym Leader/etc. in the blank, it’d become compatible with the respective Trainer engines (if any).
