It lives a quiet life on mountains that are perpetually covered in snow. It hides itself by whipping up blizzards.

Doubtful you can justify playing this, but I imagine single-prize decks might want to keep this card in mind as we return to three-prizers. If you can just prevent your opponent from healing, you can trade favorably against Mega Pokémon using single-prizer 2HKOs!

Sadly it still won’t stop Turo. I hope they don’t reprint Max Potion or anything like that.
I don’t think it would be unreasonable to run a single Abomasnow if Ditto Prism Star was legal (Decks ran a copy of Sun and Moon Alolan Muk back when it was new), but sadly we don’t have the sort of flexibility for random stage 1 techs these days. However, if something like Max Potion DID get reprinted, I could see Tord running a 1-1 Abomasnow line in one of his famous “Tord piles” the same way he’s run 1-1 stage 1 lines like bench barrier Rabsca and Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX in Charizard ex/Pidgeot ex. Assuming his own deck didn’t rely on healing.

You’re true. Milotic TWM is probably the more apt counter to blocking these things, as it stops Turo and Cyclone. You just kinda wish you could run both…

Ooh, I forgot about Milotic! Yeah, I don’t think I’ve seen people play that card as a tech in non-Milotic ex decks (Or Milotic ex decks, for that matter), so I guess we’ll just have to see if that changes with the coming of Megas.

Hey, waddaya know, apparently Sander Wojcik has been playing Milotic in Pidgeot Control! Not exactly an anti-healing tech, but at least we know someone’s played it already.
