You must have one from the Base Set then.

In the Pokémon TCG, sometimes cards are reprinted. In this case, the Legendary Collection is an entire set of nothing but reprints! It contains cards from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Team Rocket, and even one or two that were originally released as Black Star Promos! If you want to get technical, it also contains cards from Base Set 2 because Base Set 2 was just most (but not all) cards from the original Base Set combined and re-released with the cards from Jungle.
So, Ashley, if the numbering on yours is 43/102, it should be the original Base Set release:
