When its body dries out, it weakens. So, to prevent dehydration, it wraps itself in many layers of thin membrane.

So much potential… so little damage :(

This was used really often with Trevenant XY due to the Ability that locks Item cards, but then it rotated and Gengar-EX PHF became its new partner. Sometimes, people would use this Pokémon’s Deck and Cover attack through Mew-EX DRX.

Mew EX wasn’t the only Pokémon used to copy the Deck and Cover attack… https://pkmncards.com/card/mew-triumphant-tm-97/ can copy it too! Just have one Mew Prime send an Accelgor to the Lost Zone with See Off (Or use https://pkmncards.com/card/relicanth-call-of-legends-cl-69/ ‘s Prehistoric Wisdom instead), and all your future Mew Prime will be able to copy its attacks just fine! https://ptcgarchive.com/2012-decks/#chandygor Back then players had https://pkmncards.com/card/vileplume-undaunted-ud-24/ to turn off items from the BENCH (Yes, it only turned off “Items” and “Tools,” Gen 4 trainer classifications were weird), and while the deck probably would have preferred to run Mew EX, it didn’t come out until Vileplume and Mew Prime had rotated anyways. (Oh, and by the way, the deck could place damage counters with https://pkmncards.com/card/chandelure-noble-victories-nvi-60/ to knock out damaged Pokémon on YOUR turn and then continue paralyzing and poisoning the NEW active Pokémon).

Deck and Cover is a weird attack name.

It’s a pun on “Duck! And cover!” (A slogan from a piece of Cold War propaganda of the same name that told children they’d survive an atomic bomb if they had under their desks or even a newspaper. Okay, that might be an extreme over-simplification, but go watch the video some time!)

Perhaps before EXs this card would have been useful.
OH wait, make that before Black & White altogether. Reshiram would have eaten him.

even with the Ex’s it’s still amazing as a deck
