Is this the worst EX card ever printed?

Worst or not, it is bad for other reasons. The thing about this card is that the artist gave aerodactyl an extra front facing toe and made said sausage-like playdough toes the focal point of the card.

The third toe definifely isn’t placed “accurately”, but if you ask me, artists should be less invested in being on-model and more invested in making their art dynamic and distinctive, and breaks from the model to achieve that are totally welcome in my book. That’s why Ayaka Yoshida is one of my favorite 3D artists, but this admittedly isn’t her best work.

OK, I think I see where the confusion is coming from now. Those aren’t toes, it’s the fingers of its claw/hand – its right leg (the viewer’s left) is not visible in the artwork. Aerodactyl is in a pose not dissimilar from the pose it’s making in its AR card, though the ‘camera angle’ is clearly very different.

Oh yep, the wing is bent down and forward! Very strange pose, I think this is one of the few cases of Aerodactyl using its hands.

I see what you’re saying but still it’s wrong! If it were a hand, the anatomy is incorrect still as aero’s hands come from the middle top of its wings… not the ends.

That’s not the end of the wing, it’s the middle. The end of the wing is ‘out of frame’. For that section, compare to, say Aerodactyl VSTAR? I’d suggest drawing it out yourself to get an idea.

Ah yeah you might just be right… the hand is 2/3rds odd down the wing – so the wing is just folded harshly. Still, the way the art is framed, said hand perfectly lines up to be the other foot and looks a midge too far forward to be attached to said wing.
Looking at the artist though their work though I was bemused to discover they made that forsaken patrat from gri and the best audino art (fco i think?) guess its just a coin flip :)
