      I’m curious, what is Imakuni?

I believe it’s just a joke card, LOL.
Forms a considerably more disgusting combo with Mewtwo LV.X · Legends Awakened (LA) #144 and Ancient Technical Machine [Rock] · Hidden Legends (HL) #85.

With base-rocket cards, you may try Dark Gloom and Drowzee from the Team Rocket set, albeit it is not as effective (50% chance of confusion or sleep, respectively). OTOH, these cards can also apply the condition on the defending Pokemon, which may be useful.

But since we are talking about Base Fossil… It would be better to simply cut on evolutions (besides Aerodactyl) and instead put the Haymaker basics…

I have a question about its Power: If the opponent’s Active Pkmn using an attack that would evolve a Pkmn (such as Ascension https://pkmncards.com/card/zorua-dark-explorers-dex-69/ ), does Aerodactyl’s Power prevent the effect of such an attack?

No it wouldn’t, because the power only works against PLAYED evolutions. An attack that has an EFFECT that allows an evolution card to be put on the Pokemon BYPASSES the Power, because that attack does not PLAY the evolution card since it’s an EFFECT of the attack.

      read this:

I was wondering if R. magikarp’s Waterfall Evolution can be used with
Aerodactyl.  I’m guessing it can’t be, since the attack counts as evolving
      magikarp, but I’m not sure.

      -FossilMagikarp

You are incorrect.  Aerodactyl’s Power States that Evolution cards
can not be played.  Rapid Evolution does not play the card, it puts it ON
      Magikarp.  A subtle difference.

I would also like to state something right now.  Clefairy/Clefable
can NOT evolve into Gyarados, no matter what you may hear.  This subject
came up on the Wizard’s Chat a while back, where the MTs stated that they
      thought you could.

I hope the MTs please look closely at Magikarp.  They will see that
using Waterfall Evolution DOES count as evolving the Pokemon.  This means
that the Evolution must be a LEGAL evolution.  A Gyarados can not be
evolved from a Clefairy or a Clefable.  The game rules of Evolution still
do apply here.  You can not evolve something through special means unless
you could legally evolve it anyway.

My point to back this up is Pokemon Breeder.  You can’t put a
Blastoise on a Charmander – that is not within the rules of the game, and not a
      legal evolution.

      Well, rant mode off.

Speaking of Imakuni?, the new Japanese filler set has done the impossible. They actually printed Imakuni? IN A MAINLINE EXPANSION.
As a supporter. As a secret rare. In a format without any abilities that can be shut down by status conditions.

Looks like Minion of Team Rocket · Gym Heroes (G1) #113 is getting a new dorm-mate, as we have a new contender for “worst card ever.”

You have no idea how happy I am to hear this, especially if it comes out here. I’ve wanted the pleasure of encountering one on my own for years, and now, hopefully, I can have that opportunity.

It was in EX Battle Boost in Japan, but got shoved to Generations in English!

        BTW, it’s banned.

Does this also block Mega Evolution? It probably does, just want to be sure.

This is when they released lots of shiny cards to fill out a pack. Good thing they don’t do that now.
