Alcremie that have been cherished produce exquisite cream, so Trainers always raise them lovingly.

I know this is just a random bulk mon so I shouldn’t be surprised but this attack is genuinely so bad I’m kind of impressed

What are you talking about? The attack isn’t going to get seen at any League Cups, but it would be a solid addition to any kitchen table deck. You could use it to quickly search out a bunch of Pokémon for whatever type your deck was focused on (Save Dragon and Colorless), so the premise is pretty solid.
The obvious issues for playing it in standard are just how consistent decks are already, having to add an additional stage 1 line that doesn’t offer a passive consistency boost (As opposed to Bibarel from Brilliant Stars), and the likelihood that your opponent will just Iono away all the cards. As a kid building decks from my pulls and playing against my brother, however, I would absolutely have played this card in my decks if I could get my hands on it!

I mean, not to say you’re wrong that technically getting 5 Pokemon could be good, but like… even in the context of a kitchen table Pokemon game, I still feel like this card is pretty terrible. You need to run multiple Milcery to realistically pull out an Alcremie and use this attack, something that you’d probably want to be using Alcremie to make happen in the first place, because in kitchen table Pokemon you’re super inconsistent and slow to set up anyway. And then you also have to compare it to all the bulk Pokemon in this era that exist that essentially have this attack, but way less demanding/more versatile (See Fearow MEW, Lapras MEW, Tatsugiri PAR, Tapu Koko SSP, Eldegoss SCR) at least providing more by being able to evolve into better things (See Seadra SFA, Nidorina MEW, Zweilous PAL,, Eevee MEW), and that’s ignoring the crowd of effects that are just better than grabbing a bunch of Pokemon for less cost on less evolved Pokemon. I just don’t see a world where this effect does anything that special, even only compared to other cards born for the kitchen table, unless you somehow enter a world where you’re building decks and only have access to this specific card for finding Pokemon which sounds like the most deranged (and admittedly kinda fun) way to play Pokemon
