Heck of a party going on here
Warnock 2022
And this stadium pairs extremely well in Expanded with “Unfazed Fat” Snorlax (2022)!

I’ve always wondered if the logo on the side of the building actually said anything, or if Ariga just came up with something cool looking to scribble onto the side of the building. Since I didn’t own the card myself, I couldn’t work off a decent scan, and typical res scans were hard to work with because getting rid of the neon glow made it hard to tell the characters apart from each other.
However! I did get access to a high resolution version of the artwork in the past year, and this was a lot easier to work with. It became immediately obvious that there was a set of 7 characters / 4 characters / 4 characters, and at least a few of the characters were repeats, which meant maybe it *wasn’t* just a case of repeating characters. I immediately had one guess for the first, 7 letter word that anyone else would’ve had, and lining up repeating characters, ended up with the following as a decent candidate;
POKéM_N CARD GAME
I then cross-referenced with the Pokémon Series Alphabet Guide over on Pokémon Aaah!, and one hit became immediately obvious, with Anime Unovan 1 suggesting
POK_M_N CARD GAME

That there is no match between E and é is fair, but it is weird that the two Os don’t match, when the two Ms and two As do. Squinting at the Alphabet Guide a bit more, it seems like the second O is taken from Anime Unovan 2 and the E from Anime Unovan 3. Why this is the case is up in the air for now, but the intended meaning is clearly there.

Weird Berenstain situation for me; I could’ve sworn it said Pokemon Card Game in legible English this entire time.

Interesting! I wonder if you saw the general shape of the words the characters were making and your mind filled in what it would’ve made the most sense to say.
