Rumor is that one of the sets later this year will have an Alolan Vulpix VSTAR. If an Alola-themed set does come out, then Ultra Beasts will likely return!

Alas, Incandescent Arcana was not an Alola-themed set. That makes it unlikely that we’ll see Ultra Beasts in gen 8. Hopefully, they return for a Scarlet/Crimson set.
