While it’s unexpectedly quiet and friendly, if it’s not fed any trash for a while, it will smash its Trainer’s furnishings and eat up the fragments.

Latest iteration of Muk’s power-cancelling characteristic: the same function Muk cards have served since the very first one in Fossil.

And with the ability that appeared on RCL Galarian Weezing, it seems that perhaps the torch has been passed to fellow Gen 1 poison-type Weezing!

This ability shuts off LOR Gengar. No shenanigans!
anon-san
How? It’s not considered a basic Pokemon.
Whirlpool
Oh no! You’re right. A better example of a card it shuts off is that one Giratina from Sun/Moon era that puts itself onto the bench from the discard pile

Give me a break! This guy never gets anything right.
Charmaster
“Never” is too strong a word even for frequent mistakes (Not just in tone or attitude, but in logic, since he’s capable of correctly articulating the thoughts in his head while typing them with a keyboard).
In any case, I can see where the mistake is coming from. When an evolution Pokémon comes into play directly, it doesn’t count as an evolved Pokémon while in play. The problems here being that Gengar 1) will still count as an evolution Pokémon and not a basic while in play (just not an evolved Pokémon), and 2) Gengar is an evolution Pokémon while in the discard pile anyways.
The mistake was already corrected. You didn’t have to deride him over it.

You can’t learn from being right all the time. Even I’ve been wrong about things in the past here. It’s part of the learning process.
David
“Never” doesn’t even feel strong enough. They’ve got tons of posts on the site under different usernames. Whenever they mess up too much, they just switch names instead of actually taking the time to get things right.
Charmaster
Care to demonstrate how you came to this conclusion? Which usernames do you think are Whirlpool alts?
David
I talked to someone who used to post here, and he said that accounts like Warnock 2002, Tatu chin dai, Jiri z pozebrad, and a bunch of others all seem to be the same person. I’ve seen a lot of comments having correct incorrect posts made by all those accounts, and now that it’s been pointed out to me that it’s all the same person, it’s been driving me crazy! Their posts all have a really similar style. They use emojis more than most people, and they always refer to Pokémon as “she,” even when the Pokémon doesn’t have a gender difference, or when it clearly should be male. A recent example is Whirlpool calling Jungle Lickitung a girl and using a banana emoji.
What’s really strange is when you look at pages like CRI Milotic, SWSH Promo Bibarel, and SM Professor Kukui and notice the similarity in posting styles despite the different usernames. If this theory’s right, this person is replying to themselves over and over.
So first, they post a lot of stuff that’s just wrong. And then, they use tons of different usernames — like, at least a dozen. So now there are incorrect posts all over the site under different names. It’s a shame, because there are plenty of solid posts here too, but they get buried under all the bad ones. In fact, it reminds me of that Scots Wikipedia story, where most of the articles were written by someone who didn’t even speak the language.
Charmaster
Don’t people usually correct the incorrect posts and leave the correct ones alone?
But by “buried,” I’m guessing you mean when viewing posts in chronological order, not when viewing comments on a particular card. In which case correcting incorrect posts buries other posts deeper. And if Whirlpool posted two comments on the Bibarel post using different accounts, that would also bury other people’s comments one post deeper even though the information shared in those posts was correct.
