Poké-BODY ⇢ Conductivity
As long as Ampharos ex is in play, whenever your opponent attaches an Energy card to his or her Pokémon from hand, put 1 damage counter on that Pokémon. You can’t put more than 1 damage counter even if there is more than 1 Ampharos ex in play.
{L}{C}{C} → Gigavolt : 40+
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. If tails, the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed.
· Pokémon-ex rule: When Pokémon-ex has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

You know, all the way until gen 4,with the introduction of magnezone and luxray, Ampharos was the ONLY stage 2 electric pokemon out there (Raichu is one ingame, but Pichu is treated as a baby pokemon here). You would expect there to be -more- of him ou there.
Also, conductivity’s wording is pretty bad. “You can’t put more than 1 damage counter even if there is more than 1 Ampharos ex in play?” The developers should have known that this wording was just begging for little wise guys to interpret this as “you can’t put more than 1 damage counter per instance of ‘conductivity’ even if there is more than 1 ampharos ex in play.” This wording also creates confusion with -other- energy attachment penalties. Perhaps they could have instead said “you may only use this ability once per energy attachment” or something along those lines

Great minds. I tore into the problems with this translation of Conductivity and its wording problems on its first appearance on N4 Dark Ampharos.

(Having said that, this wording does appear to ameliorate the concerns I had with N4 Dark Ampharos’ wording…I think?)
