Overflowing with beauty and majesty, this strong Pokémon appears in ancient Eastern folklore.

For me, this is the best Arcanine card art.

I just realized, there are ZERO Pokemon that can burn in the XY block of cards. I was trying to find when the terminology changed from “The Defending Pokémon” to “Your opponent’s Active Pokémon” and only just now found it out. I wonder why they took out an entire special condition for over 3 years.

So I’m guessing that had to do with the change in ruling with burn. Before SM it was each turn flip a coin, if tails the burned pokemon took 20 damage. Now you always get damage, and if heads remove the condition. I’m guessing they either had problems balancing the condition or they took it away for a while to come up with something that was more different to poison.

The attack “Firestorm” is returning from Blaine’s Arcanine! In both cases, it’s a high-damage attack that discards three {R} energies.
