{W}{M}{C} → Ultimate Ray : 150
Search your deck for up to 3 basic Energy cards and attach them to your Pokémon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck.
{M}{+} → Altered Creation-GX
For the rest of this game, your Pokémon’s attacks do 30 more damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance). If this Pokémon has at least 1 extra {W} Energy attached to it (in addition to this attack’s cost), when your opponent’s Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from those attacks, take 1 more Prize card. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
· TAG TEAM rule: When your TAG TEAM is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards.

broken as heck, but I suppose considering the pokemon it makes sense

I played TCG during EX and Diamond&Pearl era, and now I’m just a collector.
Seeing cards like this is like seeing an extraterrestrial being; it’s hard to accept these new concepts.

I was a kid during the EX and DP era, though I current play those formats with my friends. But I can totally understand the culture shock when a 280 basic shows up. It’ll only get worse from here I feel.

Me: noo you cant just destroy my 1 prizer deck that I spent time and effort on
ADP: haha altered creation go brrr
Falling Skies
This card never should’ve existed. Completely, unapologetically broken. I’m glad the Sword & Shield era scaled back the power level for basic Vs pretty significantly.

Question: Could Regidrago Vstar copy altered creation GX?
Twylis
Yep! c:
But you still need a Water Energy for the second effect, so it would basically cost GGRW. Not super cost-effective, but two Dragon Energies could cover it.

Okay, a lot of people are concerned about the possibility of another ADP situation with these new Mega’s on the horizon. While I am aware of how badly one and two prize Pokémon struggle around three-prizers, I’m guessing the situation will be more comparable to a VMAX meta than a Tag Team meta. You see, Tag Teams, as GX’s, got a once-per-game attack, and the designers gave themselves multiple excuses to make those attacks as ground-shattering as possible… first, the Pokémon was worth a third prize, but second, you needed additional Energy to unlock the second effect, not to mention it was a once-per game attack. Arceus & Dialga & Palkia GX is no more hated for Ultimate Ray than Garchomp & Giratina GX is hated for Calamitous Slash in expanded… it was these two Pokémon’s GX attacks that defined them and made them among the most broken cards in their given formats.
Ultimately, I’m not expecting Mega’s to exceed the complexity of cards like Rapid Strike Urshifu VMAX or Shadow Rider Calyrex VMAX (Which are honestly pretty comparable to tera Charizard ex in terms of complexity). We might still see every current contender but Roaring Moon ex and Raging Bolt ex driven into hiding within a set or two, but we most likely won’t get effects on quite the same level as Altered Creation GX.

bro just look at the cards nothing else
Charmaster
What? Are you saying “don’t play the game?”
Charmaster
I just realized this card saw the introduction of a tenth Arceus form to the TCG a decade after Platinum: Arceus!
