Each player who has any Tera Pokémon in play can have up to 8 Pokémon on their Bench.
If a player no longer has any Tera Pokémon in play, that player discards Pokémon from their Bench until they have 5. When this card leaves play, both players discard Pokémon from their Bench until they have 5, and the player who played this card discards first.
· Stadium rule: You may play only 1 Stadium card during your turn. Put it next to the Active Spot, and discard it if another Stadium comes into play. A Stadium with the same name can’t be played.

Can you play this card even if your deck has no Terra Pokémon?
Neapolitan
you can have it in your deck and can put it into play but you cant use the affect of having up to 8 pokemon without a tera pokemon in play
GeneralTeng09
Yeah, but it’s not a good idea.

There is a format and a situation where it works. Ill let you riddle it out.

My guess would be playing it where an opponent has a Tera and is already benched out, you can then Echoing Horn/Target Whistle something (or any of the cards that force Pokemon from hand to Bench as well) and then Gust it.
You could also do this with Sky Field I suppose.
You could also replace a Sky Field in play with this card (again assuming your opponent has a Tera and you don’t), letting you discard damaged Benched Pokemon while keeping theirs in play… at least, I think that’s how it would work, although the card mentions discarding down to 5 Bench when it leaves play, regardless of whether it’s being replaced by another card that would allow a max of 8 Benched Pokemon. (The Japanese card puts the instructions of discarding down to 5 in parentheses, so there it reads more like clarification text…. seems like you would not discard Benched Pokemon in the case where Sky Field replaces this card.)

All I can see in today’s metagame are Morty’s conviction and attacks that do more damage for your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. What am I forgetting?
