This is the same attack as “Giga Impact.”
Contrast this card with Zacian V, which also came out in 2019. Its attack does 100 more damage, it has 100 extra HP, it has a resistance and a lighter retreat cost, AND it has an awesome ability! Sure, Armored Mewtwo only costs one prize card, but are all the drawbacks really worth it??
(Yes, I understand I’m asking gameplay questions about a card that was primarily intended for collectors. Never you mind!)

Getting kids to understand that you can play Switch (or use an Ability like Rush In) to remove this effect, and then retreat back into the original Pokemon and attack for consecutive turns is one of the first things that I bring up if they’re interested in getting into competitive play :)

Yes! I remember when I got into the TCG in 2020, I was playing Gengar/Mimikyu GX. Someone used G. Zigzagoon + Zacian V to OHKO one of my tag teams, then retreated w/ Air Balloon and switched back in the next turn to OHKO my other one and win the game in two turns. I got played so hard
