These images come from a digital source, albeit a compressed one. There are some compression artifacts, but apart from very careful scans, this is the best we have for now.

Update on this – we now have really good press release-sourced images for all the Ash’s Pikachus! …except for SM108 (this card) which for some reason got just an okay-quality press release image.
