It’s pretty interesting, I would use with Espeon UD.

If your playing unlimited and your opponent has trouble hitting above 50, something’s going terribly wrong. Also, you can build a very consistent deck in unlimited without a single supporter, so that rules his attack out. Basically, if we look at him an unlimted light, he kind of sucks. In his days of Modified, though, he’s actually pretty interesting.

Even at the time he was quite a risky play. It was the first ex I ever got a playset of but it was definitely a high risk – high reward strategy.
In Unlimited you probably wouldn’t touch any Banette but in 150 there’s some decent uses for them. The one from Triumphant really punishes decks using non-Claydol draw engines.

“Banette generates energy for laying strong curses by sticking pins into its own body.” – Great role model for children XP.

“A doll that became a Pokémon over its grudge from being junked. It seeks the child that disowned it.” – Nintendo’s way of scaring kids into keeping their Poke Dolls.

What’s it say when this EX card is incredibly lame compared to a current card like Chandelure, but when you KO Banette, you take two prizes compared to Chandelure’s one? Wish the new EXs were this easy to take out.

This card was good mainly because of this Shuppet: https://pkmncards.com/card/shuppet-crystal-guardians-cg-40/

Turn 2 50 was fairly normal with stuff like Rainbow Energy and Strength Charm. That OHKO’d most Basics and then it was off to the races.

I played it with Vaporeon ex at Nats in 2007 and got Top 16.

For months you also didn’t know that you could move counters onto your OPPONENT’S pokemon, too. I will never let you forget that.
