I wish they’d have printed a Mega Banette EX card. Its mega evolution is so creepy and cool. I wish they’d even have just put one on a tag team, like they did with Mega Sableye and Mega Lopunny, but sadly Banette is in the small category of mega evolutions that never got a TCG card–along with Pinsir, Medicham, Latias and Abomasnow.

This card is a spiritual reprint of Banette ex from EX Legend Maker. It’s not readily noticeable because the art style is very different, but the poses are identical and the colors of the ‘fog’ match the colors of the concentric rings of the original. But even if the artwork doesn’t tip you off, you’ll probably notice the shared Power/Ability and attack.

Didn’t this card win at the Worlds in Nashville a few years back?? Shadow Chant is a really great move if you can dump Supporters into your discard pile quickly.

Yeah, it looks like Banette GX won Worlds 2018 – properly living up to Banette ex, who won Worlds 2007.
