Look at your face-down Prize cards. You may reveal an Ultra Beast card you find there, put it into your hand, and put this Beast Ball in its place. (If you don’t reveal an Ultra Beast card, put this card in the discard pile.) Then, shuffle your face-down Prize cards.
· Item rule: You may play as many Item cards as you like during your turn (before your attack).

In retrospect this card probably should’ve grabbed Ultra Beasts from the deck *or* the prizes, with a choice. Now Hisuian Heavy Ball pretty much always outclasses it even in most Ultra Beast focused decks, since grabbing any basic is almost always more useful given the only Ultra Beast that isn’t itself basic is Naganadel.

Another interesting distinction that is yet to be cleared in translation is Hisuan Heavy Ball only says to shuffle after taking a card so it outclasses townmap too if this interaction is correct

In Japan, this released as a Gym promo alongside the release of their Ultra Prism equivalent, technically making it the first card to interact with Ultra Beasts as a proper mechanic since proper UB support didn’t arrive until the following mini-set (integrated into our Forbidden Light set).
Seeing how Ancient and Future cards are handled in SV, I can’t help but wonder how much more usage this would’ve seen if the “Ultra Beast” label was applied to Trainer and Energy cards. Being able to grab a Prized Beast Ring could completely turn a game around. Lusamine Prism Star and Beast Bringer (as a one-off) probably would’ve seen more play, as well as Ultra Recon Squad since it could turn those 2 + Beast Rings into draw power instead of dead weight after their Prize windows had passed. Ultra Space obviously would’ve had to be reworded into specifically only grabbing Ultra Beast Pokemon instead of Ultra Beast cards.
