Turn 1 of your face-down Prize cards face up. If it’s a {R} Energy card, this attack does 50 more damage. (That Prize card remains face up for the rest of the game.)

It slithers toward people. Then, without warning, it triggers the explosion of its own head. It’s apparently one kind of Ultra Beast.

Fireball Circus was a really good game-ending move, right? How was the move best pulled off when it was popular?
JP
In conjunction with Fiery Flint, Fire Crystal, and Giant Hearth, you could get lots of Energy in your hand; this meant that Fireball Circus wasn’t limited to just an endgame move. (Certain formats had only Flint and Crystal, or only Crystal and Hearth, but as long as you had access to two of those three it was good enough.)

Also, you’d use Welder to help pay for the somewhat-expensive Energy cost.

Awesome, thanks! Pretty crazy how friendly the late SM format was to fire types.
