Child Punch has to be one of the worst one-energy attack

Seems like it was included purely for flavor. Child punch’s damage is nested within one two punch. Mega Kangaskhan, much?

You are correct in that assumption.
In Japan One-Two Punch is called “Mother & Child Punch”.

I wish they had kept the Japanese name :(

Except that Mega Kangaskhan was nerfed to be worse than being Scarfed, since it went from 1/2 to 1/4 power for the baby.

      Granted.
On the other hand, One-Two Punch is above average for a Basic’s triple colorless attack.
