So, this under regular conditions can do up to 100 damage to a benched mon without any costs for 2.

Yes, but the harder you hit the Bench the more likely Blastoise δ was to be KO’d the next turn. Around the time of its release, sniping for 100 damage was not uncommon as multiple past attackers in different decks (Blaziken-ex and Steelix-ex) had already been pulling it off. That’s the Team Magma Vs Team Aqua Blaziken-ex, I mean. While each of those attackers needs four Energy plus a two Energy discard to pull it off, they also were featured in decks that could pull it off turn after turn.

It’s odd that this guy was delta species, but the Squirtle & Wartortle he evolves from in the set are not.

“Enraged Linear Attack” is a very specific name for a move. That phrase wouldn’t make any sense outside of this specific Pokemon TCG context!
