Pokémon Power ⇢ Scram
If Brock’s Primeape ever has exactly 10 HP left, shuffle it and all cards attached to it into your deck. This power stops working while Brock’s Primeape is Asleep, Confused, or Paralyzed.
{F}{F}{F} → Mega Thrash : 60
Brock’s Primeape does 20 damage to itself. If there is a Stadium card in play, discard it.

“Nigerundaiyo!”
LightYearLiam
Well, at least his Primeape is. xD
Warnock 2022
This attack is very different from the original “Thrash,” which debuted on base set Nidoking.
LightYearLiam
Well, they both involve self-damage.

When it comes to establishing the …pedigree? of an attack, it’s worth remembering that (especially during WOTC) the English name of an attack is often a less-than-faithful translation of the original. In this case, the original name of the attack on this card (おおあばれ) is only similar-ish to the original name of the attack Thrash (あばれる), but not necessarily related.
Most people already use Bulbapedia anyways, which ends up as a perfectly fine start point. Their card pages feature the names of the attack in both English and Japanese, and copy-pasting the attack name into the following sources will let you start doing some additional digging;
PCG-search for cards released during Generation 1–3 of the TCG:
https://pcg-search.com/card/search.php
pokemon-card.com for cards released during Generation 4+ of the TCG:
https://www.pokemon-card.com/card-search/index.php?keyword=&se_ta=®ulation_sidebar_form=all&pg=&illust=&sm_and_keyword=true
ポケモンwiki, a JP-language sister wiki to Bulbapedia, is a catch-all for anything that might not show up in the above databases (but can be a bit more daunting as it has no images):

In this case, I’ll leave it as a simple exercise for the reader to determine if they think おおあばれ should have been translated as “Mega Thrash” or not. This thread’s OP never took me up on that offer – weird guy, never understood his deal, though I have my guesses what was going on – but I’ve already provided additional context for more than my share of their superfluous posts on this site over the last several months.
