“Equal to the number of [C] Energy in Bronzor’s Retreat Cost.”
in BRONZOR’s Retreat Cost? What? Did you expect people to run a strategy that involves deliberately increasing the retreat cost of their own pokemon via Ariados · Mysterious Treasures (MT) #20 just to do a few more points of damage to the enemy? Did you think that this would somehow be a viable counter to opponents that rely on amplifying your retreat cost?
Ok, so it’s a fairly “interesting” idea that reflects Gyro Ball ingame, but as printed the ability is essentially pointless other than allowing for a hilariously depressing interaction with Moonlight Stadium · Great Encounters (GE) #100. I guess if they printed a Bronzong with a version of Gyro Swap that targeted all opponents and started with a retreat cost of 3 or 4, that would be fairly interesting.

Almost a decade later, I just want to say that the attack isn’t really too bad, since the Bronzong in this very set has an attack that is basically that proposed idea, but factoring their Retreat instead of yours. The fact that Bronzor has any synergy with that strategy is a nice bonus.

Weakness to Psychic? It only got a weakness to Ghost moves in Gen 6, due to Steel being nerfed.
