It is possible that the creature listed as Brute Bonnet in a certain book could actually be this Pokémon.
Cooleslaw
I find it really interesting how Brute Bonnet’s identity in the TCG so far (with both this card and the one coming out in Twilight Masquerade) involves inflicting poison, and yet it doesn’t actually learn a single move in the main series that can poison the opponent. It only learns two poison type moves in Clear Smog and Venoshock, both of which distinctly do not inflict poison (although Venoshock does interact with it).
Brute Bonnet can get away with this because of its dark typing now sharing a TCG type with poison, and because of its relationship to Amoonguss. If the darkness type had not had the poison type added to it recently, I wonder how Brute Bonnet’s TCG identity would have been different…
Also, are there any other striking examples of Pokemon being able to make use of moves/mechanics in the TCG that they can’t in the main series?
