A strange seed was planted on its back at birth. The plant sprouts and grows with this Pokémon.

This is the only time Bulbasaur has ever been printed as a holographic card, in either Japanese or English.

There’s a holo bulba in ex crystal guardians though
Nos
There are a lot of holo Bulbasaur in the EX era, since the reverse holos of that era feature holographic patterning on the art rather than the rest of the card. So in reality, there have been a lot of holo Bulbasaur (but none that are holo rares).

That’s the more descriptive reply, thank you. Saying Bulba has never been printed as a holo at all was kind of ambiguous but what you said is more explanatory.

No there aren’t a lot of holo Bulbasaurs; reverse holos don’t count as holos. By that logic literally *any* Pokemon can be considered to have been printed as holo–even something like Cascoon that would never ever get its own holo.
https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Bulbasaur_(TCG) Only one holographic card here! Even counting Japan-exclusive prints, which is rare and remarkable!
Squirtle and Charmander both got Japan-exclusive holo cards long before Bulbausaur got this one. https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/McDonald%27s_Pok%C3%A9mon-e_Minimum_Pack_(TCG)
