{C}{C} → Whirlwind : 20
Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon, if any. (Do the damage before switching the Pokémon.)
{G}{G}{G}{G} → Mega Drain : 40
Remove a number of damage counters from Butterfree equal of half the damage done to the Defending Pokémon (after applying Weakness and Resistance) (rounded up to the nearest 10). If Butterfree has fewer damage counters than that, remove all of them.

Like Golem in this same set, I’m glad that Butterfree’s rarity was upgraded to star-rare.
And I think it’s appropriate that Snorlax was downgraded to uncommon, and Dratini was downgraded to common.
Like, these aren’t super important things. But they feel *right* to me :)

I would argue the original rarities are much more representative how rare the pokemon themselves are. Dratini was thought a myth due to how rare it was and only spawned in the Safari Zone, and Snorlax never even appeared in the wild, just blocking the road in a couple places. Butterfree, meanwhile, is the first fully evolved pokemon most players will encounter — so it’s fitting it be one of the first fully evolved most players pull too.

Ah, good points. Still doesn’t explain, though, why Pidgeotto stayed a star-rare card in both Base Set *and* Legendary Collection!
