Poké-POWER ⇢ Spike Storm
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Cacturne is your Active Pokémon, you may put 1 damage counter on 1 of your opponent’s Pokémon that already has any damage counters on it. This power can’t be used if Cacturne is affected by a Special Condition.
{F} → Triple Needle
Choose 3 of your opponent’s Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage to each of those Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
{F}{C}{C} → Light Punch : 50

“Light Punch” is a weird translation.
I assumed “Light” as in, gentle. Then I thought, maybe “Light” has something to do with the crystal theme of the set. Glistening Punch?
But afaik, the Japanese card reads なぐる (naguru), for “punch”, “strike”, or “to beat”.
And that’s kinda it. It should just be “Punch”. A bit disappointing.

I think the ‘light’ adjective is meant to emphasize that this isn’t a particularly powerful attack, if you search for the phrase “Light Punch” in the advanced search of this site you’ll find it’s a common weak attack name that’s continued to the modern ScVi era all the way back from ex Sandstorm Cacnea. Funnily enough, this Crystal Guardian’s Cacturne holds the record to this day for the most power Light Punch attack on this site – 50 damage is lot for this move! It must be the cactus spikes powering it up!
