Ability ⇢ Overheater
Whenever your opponent flips a coin for their Burned Pokémon during Pokémon Checkup, it doesn’t recover from that Special Condition even if the result is heads.
{R}{R}{R}{C} → Bursting Inferno : 130
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Burned.

While its burning body is already dangerous on its own, this excessively hostile Pokémon also has large and very sharp fangs.

I wonder if they wanted to originally call this ability “Overheat,” but that name was already claimed from TM’s Camerupt (2004).

Centiskorch’s pose has a very similar pose to Sizzlipede SSH, and is also underground (only under a ledge instead of in a cave), but I was also struck by how the heat radiating from Centiskorch’s body is melting the wall of the hill, causing mud to stream down the inside of the cliff and puddle at Centiskorch’s feet. The melting mud gives the misty wood beyond a strange and surreal air, almost as if a wildfire is brewing and the cliffs are evaporating before the trees even catch fire… almost as if Centiskorch is razing the entire forest in its fury.
Is anyone else imagining this scene in California?
