This Pokémon haunts dilapidated mansions. It sways its arms to hypnotize opponents with the ominous dancing of its flames.

Weird name for the ability. How do you roast a mountain? Is it having a campfire roast on top of a mountain, maybe? If you do a websearch for the phrase “mountain roasting”, you just get a bunch of coffee shops – is it a coffee thing? I can’t find anything about mountains or coffee in any of Chandelure’s dex entries, and neither this or its alt print have a mountain or coffee in the artwork.
I want to understand.

I guess the implication is that instead of MUNCHING down mountains, Chandelure ROASTS down mountains?
(Cf. the “Mountain Munch” move on Durant)

Oh, I think you’re correct! There’s only a couple instances of attacks/Abilities/Powers with “Mountain” in their name that have effects related to Stadium cards in play, but every other time the “Mountain” in question appears to be either your or your opponent’s deck, and they’re usually milling the opponent’s deck. This traces all the way back to the Tyranitar cards in Neo Destiny.

It’s also the same effect as Dragons Exalted Aggron, whose Toppling Winds ability’s JP name roughly translates to “wind blowing down from the mountains”. Definitely a mountain theme to milling!
