People pay that much because they’re collectors. Brandon has a bunch of gold stars and LEGENDs, and I have a friend who spent $60 on an Umbreon* at Nats just to make his binder look cool. Playing isn’t the only thing Pokemon cards are good for.

I know, but the fanboying of Charizard is what skyrockets the price, and people buy it for that price because it’s a shiny Charizard and Charizard is “awesome” That’s what makes me sick.

Why, Genwunners? Why do you have to bring the cost of this beautiful card up to ridiculous levels? Even though it’s functionally the same as the $3 BCR Charizard?
Thankfully his price has dropped to $70 from $100, and hopefully it’ll drop some more just like Rayquaza DRV.

I have this card but the HP is 16000 and the retreat is 5 stars. Is this a fake?

Yep. While there have been plenty of 5 retreat cost cards, none of them have breached 1000 HP (yet). I’m sure if you also compared it to real cards the back would look miscolored as well.

Is there a way to see scans before the correction? Are you able to add scans for both versions of a card, like Charizard with the fighting energy symbol, or Evo Electrode and Cyrus Prism before the errata?
