I’m not sure I understand what’s going on in this artwork. Is this set after the battle in the Brilliant Stars alt. art print? Did Venusaur win the battle and Charizard has retreated?

My guess is that Charizard is kind of a hot-head; so he probably thinks the leaf that fell on him was an attack from
Venusaur. Queue the Brilliant Stars scene. Charizard hates taking .25% damage razor leaves. Lol

It’s set after that art, but it looks like neither really “won” so much as they finished fighting and are now resting contentedly. Both their faces are happy, so they likely had a good time. The leaves and fire everywhere is just the aftermath of their battle.
