They don’t like to reveal themselves in front of people. They live quietly in packs deep in the mountains.

You might notice that the function of Clefable’s Meteor Mash is similar to Extra Comet Punch on HL Metagross 𝒆𝒙. If not that, then you might notice it’s similar to the function of Extra Comet Punch on UF Clefable, or Extra Comet Punch on PK Metang. How about Extra Comet Punch on LA Metagross?
In the video games, the original name of the attack “Meteor Mash” is “Comet Punch” – like, コメットパンチ is more or less literally pronounced “Comet Punch” – and as I noted on HL Metagross 𝒆𝒙, it looks like the translation team wanted to preserve this fact without getting lost in the murkiness of the localization process the games had gone through. This Clefable appears to be the English language debut of the attack Meteor Mash, but it’s actually the fifth appearance of the attack in the EN TCG (and in terms of JP-only cards, there’s at least a Metagross*, so this is at least the sixth appearance of the attack for the JP TCG?)
