This is why the new Cleffa works better.

Oh I REALLY like the look of this guy. Seems way better than the newest Cleffa in regards to Unlimited. :D

I love how no one actually bothered evolving these.

Does this ‘flip a coin if you want to attack’ thingy count as an Ability? So, would Garbotoxin nullify it?

No, the baby rule is not an ability.
Furthermore, the official ruling is that abilities are not the same thing as poke powers/poke bodies, so keep that in mind when trying to use garbodor against unlimited decks that rely on bodies and powers!

The Baby Rule still applies nowadays in unlimited for these old Baby Pokémon, right?

Its a rule on the card. There is no way to turn it off, including by citing that newer “baby” Pokemon lack said rule. It also does not count as a Power or Body, just to clarify what Will was saying up there.

I love this guy so much. It’s not only incredibly useful, but it has an adorable art, too. They could’ve used the Ken Sugimori art, like for Magby from the same set, or a kinda lame Miki Tanaka art like for Igglybuff, Elekid, and Tyrouge, but no. They used an awesome art like this. They knew this guy was destined for greatness.

Why is this card worth $17 now?

Interest in playing old formats is at an all-time high (lots of tournaments on Discord & discussion in various groups). This is also helped since official tournaments have been cancelled due to the pandemic and so some folks are branching out from just standard & expanded (apparently virtual cubing is also popular right now). So demand is high for old format staples; additionally, it appears that supply is quite low (not a ton of people selling their cards, or selling their cards to vendors, to allow for a restock of these staples). Thus the high prices!

Also the Neo sets are quite pricy, don’t know why exactly, the collectors/investors may answer this better, might have to do with supply/etc.
