Yes. Unless the card (or relevant effect printed on another card that is currently in play)explicitly specifies otherwise, a pokemon that is knocked out will always yield a prize card.
This would be VERY powerful otherwise.

I wonder if those cards will get banned the same way Mismagius was?? The ability to manipulate your opponent’s prizes to use Counter Catcher has potential to really skew games.
