Attach Crystal Shard to 1 of your Pokémon that doesn’t already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card.
As long as Crystal Shard is attached to a Pokémon, that Pokémon’s type is {C}. If that Pokémon attacks, discard this card at the end of the turn.

So what exactly is this useful for?
JP
You can hit for Colorless Weakness. (Pokémon that are weak to Colorless in this era are Dragon-type in the video game.)

Yeah I figures as much, just seems very specific! Additionally there was a printing of the card in the E-series, and I’m pretty sure nothing was weak to colorless back then.

Besides exploiting [C] Weakness (during the period when it existed), Crystal Shard was also about avoiding Resistance or certain undesirable Type-based effects. Was it actually worthwhile for those things… eh, probably not but it was so long ago I don’t remember. XP
