What was the purpose of this card? Was there a card like Radiant Heatran or Gyarados V back in the day that you was much better with more damage counters?
Twylis
Unbroken Bonds Spiritomb is pretty much the only worthwhile use of this card that I know of, but Unified Minds Jynx broadly outclasses it since you can use its ability repeatedly and Spiritomb can only place a single damage counter on itself per turn anyway. This card might have merit if you were to try making an expanded Spiritomb deck though, since Gapejaw Bog (and Team Magma’s Secret Base) allow for getting three damage counters on benched Spiritomb to move to the active with this.

Right, Unified Minds Jynx does seem like a better option. I’m pretty confused, then, why they decided to make a *worse* version of Damage Mover in Damage Pump (the new item card coming out in Lost Origin)……
Twylis
Looks like Damage Pump can move the damage counters to two different Pokémon if you want to. Not sure what the niche for that would be (maybe something like Ancient Origins Gyarados distributing damage counters across multiple Magikarp to avoid KOing them?) but I guess it’s not a *complete* downgrade?
Twylis
Oh, it’s for Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR actually, from the same set! That does damage based on number of pokemon with damage counters on them regardless of the number of damage counters. So in that deck, Damage Pump would definitely be an improvement over this.
