This is pretty creepy flavor text.

The fact it’s such a short sentence… that makes it worse somehow.

So the fullness of my bench determines my ability to place something on my opponent’s bench? That doesn’t sound right.

The effect of “Call Back” was released in Item form in DAA Echoing Horn, almost exactly 20 years later.

Some of the evolution boxes for Pokémon cards in this set begin to use the artwork Sugimori made for Blue Version, instead of the artwork made for Red & Green that had been used in the past. This is true of several cards, including this Dark Haunter card* – compare the Gastly in the evolution box here to the Gastly in the evolution box of all prior Haunter cards printed. It looks like e-Card will continue to do this changeover for Pokémon evolving from Generation I monsters en masse, and this will be the status quo until EX FireRed & LeafGreen. Submariner has noted the last use of Blue version artwork for evolution boxes over on EX Deoxys Starmie.

    * It will NOT be true for some cards, however, including Dark Gengar – if you look at Fossil Gengar, it is using the “Blue version” of Haunter’s artwork, and indeed the artwork used for the Haunter in that set is the same “Blue version”. Those unfamiliar with the artwork made for Haunter for Red & Green can check it out on G2 Sabrina’s Haunter.

First Dark Haunter card to ever be printed on paper.
A prior Dark H. card was designed for the TCG GB2 video game: https://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Dark_Haunter_(Team_Rocket%27s_Ambition_H25)
