I wonder if we’ll ever see an ability like this printed again. It and Crobat V‘s Dark Asset are hard once-per-turn abilities, seemingly to prevent drawing too many cards per turn too easily, and adding more of such abilities would allow even more drawing per turn in Expanded — which is what got Shaymin EX banned. If the ability had a more generic name, there could be future cards with it still covered by its clause without issue, but Dedechange is pretty distinctly Dedenne-related. Would be interesting if they work with that and make discard-and-draw exclusive to Dedenne cards as a thematic thing.

Solution is clear: they gotta make another draw-6 Dedenne :)
