Ability ⇢ Transform
During your turn (before your attack), you may put a Basic Pokémon from your hand on top of this Pokémon. (This does not count as playing that Pokémon or evolving.) This Pokémon is now that Pokémon. (Any cards attached to this Pokémon, damage counters, Special Conditions, turns in play, and any other effects remain on the new Pokémon.)

It can reconstitute its entire cellular structure to change into what it sees, but it returns to normal when it relaxes.

Just ordered a playset of these and dreaming of all of the rogue possibilities. Start with it, get hit with Landorus for 60, transform into Kyurem (NVI) #34 and do 160 for 2 energy. Start with it then transform in to Emolga to reduce mulligans and non-ideal starters. Drop that Stage 1 in a single swoop. Attach Exp. Share for saving energy and then transforming into anything (Terrakion and Mewtwo EX come to mind). Free retreat with Skyarrow Bridge, Anyone else have any similar thoughts?

Does it keep its Ability after transforming, though?
CAT5e
No, you pretend like Ditto disappears. The key is that it does, however, keep “turns in play.” This means that if you had Ditto in play last turn, you can transform into a different Basic Pokemon and immediately drop a Stage 1 on top or Rare Candy to a Stage 2. Ditto can really surprise your opponent.
lelozo
you can transform in archen or tirtouga?
inatspong
No. Those are Revived Pokemon. Not basics.

Definitely going to try this out. It may be a help in decks that require a very specific starter ‘mon.
