   Was this card played in M Rayquaza EX decks back when they were in the same format?

     Some lists, yeah! Great for when your opponent discards your https://pkmncards.com/card/sky-field-roaring-skies-ros-89/ and you need to fill your bench back up. Of course, the alternative is using a https://pkmncards.com/card/hoopa-ex-ancient-origins-aor-36/ to search your deck for more EX’s. Some lists just ran some Hoopa EX… others ran copies of both.

     There are some other decks from the time that could abuse Dragonite EX and Hoopa EX, though… https://pkmncards.com/card/m-gardevoir-ex-steam-siege-sts-79/ enjoyed being able to play and discard a bunch of https://pkmncards.com/card/shaymin-ex-roaring-skies-ros-77/ and (Eventually) https://pkmncards.com/card/tapu-lele-gx-guardians-rising-gri-60/ every turn, while https://pkmncards.com/card/raichu-generations-gen-rc9/ essentially functioned like a M Rayquaza EX lite.

     Despair Ray M Gardevoir EX started seeing success after the rotation following 2016 Worlds (https://alexwilsonnc.github.io/ptcg-legends-legacy/decks-by-era/2016/prc-evo), but began to decline with the introduction of https://pkmncards.com/card/garbodor-guardians-rising-gri-51/ in Guardians Rising (https://alexwilsonnc.github.io/ptcg-legends-legacy/decks-by-era/2017/prc-gri), and was virtually dead by 2017 Worlds. The only post-Dragonite EX Raichu lists I’m finding are for the PRC-GRI format as well.

       Thanks :) I only started playing in 2020 so I’m not familiar with much of the XY format.
