Somehow didn’t notice this Drapion is Shiny till right now.

I don’t believe it is? I think it’s a combination of the warm lighting and just regular variation in portrayals. This warmer purple notably coincides with how Drapion is depicted in the anime (which is almost a perfect midpoint between the shiny and the Sugimori artwork).

Bulpadedia thinks it is?

Bulbapedia also thinks the regular Drapion V and Drapion VSTAR feature shiny Drapion, which they definitely don’t. I’d also be inclined to agree that it isn’t shiny, since it would be so weird for this to be the only card from the Galarian Gallery to feature a shiny Pokémon.

Bulbapedia is wrong about a great many things, this is just one of them :)

I’ve fixed that Bulba page :X

If Ancient and Future cards start to get too OP, I wonder if 2024 or 2025 will see the creation of a card like Drapion here, whose sole purpose is to knock them down a peg (in Drapion’s case, the battle styles ‘mons)
