Drowsee, not to be confused with Drowzee, are so named because they are often pressed into serving as disposable spies and lookouts for the Drow, a rare variant of elves that typically live in subterranean areas, primarily in Sinnoh. Notably, Drowsee possess the ability to assume a multitude of different shapes, though their mastery of this ability is minute in comparison to the more malleable Ditto. Many Drowsee have embraced the confusing similarity between the two names, using their powers to disguise themselves as wild Drowzee in an attempt to escape from their masters.
