Despite using the ex era template, this is actually a reprint of Dunsparce CES 110 (https://pkmncards.com/card/dunsparce-celestial-storm-ces-110/). The original’s (https://pkmncards.com/card/dunsparce-sandstorm-ss-60/) Strike and Run doesn’t require you to add a Pokemon to your bench in order to switch out the Dunsparce, and its Sudden Flash can paralyze both of the opponent’s Active Pokemon when playing a double battle.

It says in the comments of the original that you do have to add Pokemon to the bench to able to switch

I stand corrected!

I would still call this a reprint of the original Dunsparce SS 60 since the 2003 English version Strike and Run attack was mistranslated. It should always have required you to bench a Pokémon to use the switch effect. Double battles are long gone and text referencing double battles was confusing even at the time, so it makes sense to remove that clause in the 2023 version.

While all this is true. It’s still more of a reprint of the CES version, just done in the style of the OG. If the card does not play exactly like the original, it’s not really a reprint.

It does

If I played this card in a 2 on 2 double battle game, it wouldn’t. I would have to tell you “hey this card can do X even though it’s not written on the card”. That’s just not right.
