I really liked the above post when I first read it, but after having a chance to play PLA, I think this artwork is set in one of that game’s locations and the resemblance to Venomoth is coincidental. A few other cards Arita illustrated for cards that showed up in the PLA-related sets (BRS, ASR, LOR) seem to also be in that game’s settings.
