They coil around foes and shock them with electricity-generating organs that seem simply to be circular patterns.

why do Eelektross and Tynamo have more comments then this?

Behold the new face of energy acceleration!!! ew… well… Not a pretty face, but the face nonetheless!

I love this card because it’s so darn playable, but it’s so inexpensive! I’m looking at you Mewtwo EX.

I think that about 2 years from now, if this is still in format, it will have gone up to about $8. Invest now.

This and Durant are what Furious Knights amazing.

Eelektross from dark explorers will make these guys less of a sitting duck. Catcher stall me? Ok, now i drag and hit for 60 to anything on your board with 140 hp.
coolestman22
Not really, because the attack costs 4 energy, doesn’t it?
Chuck Rancor
I wondered if you could tech 1 Elektross DEX in a quick dynamotor(figuring you have enough on the bench to power it up in one turn), go active and start going agro-elektross. Probably wouldn’t be the best tactic unfortunately.
coolestman22
It would be able to OHKO all of CMT but Mewtwo and Gigas, but otherwise wouldn’t be too good except to finish off an EX that you previously damaged.
It’s a decent tech, but there are better options.

I’m thinking that they should make a Fire-type version of this (Volcarona?) soon. I want some real fire type acceleration.

“let’s see how far we can push fire recharge.”
>replace the coin flip with a slight damage penalty
>Give it a dramatic effect that has insane synergy with the ability.
>pump up the pokemon’s HP drastically to keep up with power creep.
“Yeah, that’s good..but I think we can do a little more”
>remove the downside ENTIRELY
>put it on a stage 1 pokemon.
>make it off type AND in the same rotation as the your other powered up version, just to ensure that the format is dominated by one or the other.
>Tweak the pokemon’s stats to make it roughly as powerful as the original
>Set the rarity at UNCOMMON
>That pokemon can EVOLVE. Even if the evolution is terrible, this means that any nasty evolution could arise somewhere down the line….
reshikrom64
One of the cards you could just tell will be decent at worst, and BDIF at best, as long as it remains un-rotated.

Hopefully we get a Shiny Eel.

Getting a Metal-type ‘remake’ in Phantom Forces in the form of Bronzong
feyblade
You know, at one point, i tried to associate various mechanics with various types, just for custom card reference. Now it appears as if it’s kind of a foolhardy idea to approach things that way. The developers will give pokemon whatever abilities they want, regardless of type. Fire? Lightning? Metal? Heck, even Darkness (in the form of the new Hydreigon) gets to play this game with the discard pile…

It’s a shame there’s not much of a “Color pie” in Pokemon, especially not any more, it’s much better when Types have their own identity. With the current design team we’re getting a format that’s more and more “every deck is the same apart from the colours and pictures”.
jelze
Magic does that a lot better than Pokemon. You still have minor themes in Pokemon, but Magic has major themes throughout their colours.

It’s funny how TPCI is trying to make their game more similar to MtG, at least considering their products (Fat Packs, Duel Decks) and their tournament structure, and at the same time make their game simpler and less structured every set.
