Phew! I’m glad the final translation has “Active” in it, otherwise spread was gonna get nasty!

“Active” is always used when it’s in the form of an Ability. When the damage boost is part of an attack (like Feather Dance or Bulk Up), then it usually isn’t restricted to “Active” because the Pokemon with said attack doesn’t have any spread attacks in the first place.
Luckily for us, Mew-EX can copy these attacks to increase spread damage for itself. For example, Mew could copy Ancient Unfezant’s damage boost attack, then copy Spinda PRC’s Uproar attack the following turn for 90 damage to ALL Pokemon.

Imagine using this Ability with Ancient Articuno, right? With 2 in play and a Muscle Band, Articuno does 80 by default. Could be really good during next set’s release, when Palkia-EX and Max Elixir add to the speed at which you can power up Articuno.
